I must say that MJ was one of the great geniuses of all times!

Tears streamed down my cheeks when I watched him sing this song in the film - "I'll be there"...

My learning styles :)

After all these years of studying, I suddenly came to the realisation today that I am actually a strong kinesthetic learner.  I used to think that I am a strong visual and auditory learner rather than a strong kinesthetic learner.  When I think of a kinesthestic learner, I usually have this mental picture of a naughty primary boy - someone who has to move around a lot and finds it unbearable to sit still for a long time ...  To my mind, I am nowhere close to this.

However, I did not realise that a kinesthetic learner functions in many different ways.  I have been doing tons of reading these days, unfortunately, i.e. sitting for long hours without much movement at all.  Interestingly, inspiration seldom visits me when I am sitting and reading.  Strangely enough, it often comes to me when I am walking, riding on a bus, or having a shower.  That means, I THINK better when I am MOVING!  I will certainly capitalise on this realisation of my learning styles by creating space for myself to move around more.  Yeah!  

If you don't stand up for your own rights, nobody will!

I remember clearly what my Form 6 English teacher said to the class one day  - 

"If you don't speak for yourselves, nobody will!" 

Somehow this remark of hers stuck in my mind as a significant reminder of what I should do when it comes to dealing with everyday dragons and many less overt indignities in life.

Speak up, my dear friends.  Have no fears.  Life is worth fighting for!

The secret of success
